Your NeighborWorks Story
I have worked as a volunteer essentially all my life. I believe in the power of partnerships and working together to help the greater good of community. Thus, here I am at NeighborWorks as the Community Outreach Coordinator. My first contact with NeighborWorks was through the block clubs. When we first purchased our property we were greeted by a neighbor who had community information supplied by the neighborhood block club organized and supported by NWDHR. I was hooked immediately on block clubs. I later learned of all the great volunteer events and opportunities, as well as the HP programs, that NeighborWorks facilitates. The well roundedness of NWDHR is what attracted me to the position. It is the feeling of actually making a difference for families that keeps me here.
Best Part about Your Job
I have the opportunity everyday to share the story of all the great programs NWDHR has to offer. I get to organize, coordinate, schedule, teach, travel and be with people who share their talents and people who need our talents every day!
