Upper Main Block Club
764 – 908 Main Street
The Upper Main Block Club is located on the southwest end of Deadwood’s Historic Main Street. It is a beautiful street of historical homes between the Franklin Hotel and the Broken Boot Mine. In the summer, the block club is active in the beautification of the businesses, as well as residences, on Upper Main. They meet at least twice a year to plan projects and socials and to celebrate their club.
During the Christmas holiday season, the neighborhood is known as “Christmas Wreath Lane.” Volunteers wrap the historical lamp posts with lights and wreathes. Many of the homes display a beautiful variety of Christmas wreathes. The natural trees at the highway 14A gateway entrance to the neighborhood have a full Christmas display of lights to welcome visitors. The holiday mixer gathering is a favorite time to meet and welcome new neighbors to the block!
